Installing a new boiler might be expensive and we know that it isn’t the most exciting thing to be spending your money on, but a new boiler can do wonders for your home and offers a wide range of helpful benefits…
Improved boiler efficiency
Your new boiler will most likely have an energy efficiency rating of A, making it at least 90% efficient, whereas your older boiler might have an efficiency as low as 70% (G-rated), helping you reduce your carbon footprint and low your energy usage. In turn, wasting less energy helps you save money on your energy bills…
To put that into perspective, if your boiler is 90% efficient, you waste as little as 10p for every £1 spent. This is a big difference compared to 70% efficiency, which sees you waste at must as 30p for every £1 spent. Whilst the difference might not seem like much initially, you’d be surprised how quickly the savings begin to mount up over time.
Quieter boiler
Boilers have improved considerably over the last decade or so and are now much more advanced. Not only are they more efficient, they are also much much quieter. Thanks to an improved design and better use of materials, you can now have your boiler the other side of a bedroom wall and not hear a thing!
Brand new warranty/guarantee
A lot of new boilers come with a warranty/guarantee protecting you from the cost of breakdowns and repairs for the next 5-10 years. This is beneficial because you can have peace of mind that you wont need to splash out on your boiler again, at least not until your warranty/guarantee expires. This isn’t available with all boilers and depends on the manufacturer and installer, so it is also best to check what is available to you.
For instance, we’re accredited with Vaillant so can offer an extended warranty of up to 10 years on selected Vaillant boilers that we install.
Greater control over your heating
Smart thermostats are a great way to keep control of your heating and the majority of new boilers are compatible with them. Some features include being able to change your home heating for each room individually, as well as being able to alter your heating when you are not home. This helps you to save money by cutting down on wasted energy, as well as being a really practical tool.
